He and his wife had 6 children (Jerimiah, Elisa, Julia, Alwina, Orville, and Alonzo). Jacob owned 4 acres of land by 1879 valued at $100.00. He had $100.00 in livestock and $10.00 in the cost of fence and building repair. The estimated value of his farm production was $10.00 and he owned 2 horses.
