Mary M. Savage was born around 1890 in Bibb County, Georgia, to Thomas and Betsy. She married James Savage around 1907 and worked as a laundress before moving north. By 1920, Mary and James were employed as domestic servants in Greenwich, New York. They later settled in Plattsburgh, where they lived at 40 Weed Street. Mary continued working for private families, contributing to the city’s domestic workforce. She died on April 4, 1931, in Plattsburgh, although her burial location remains unknown.
